This is an email to provide more
details regarding our 1st annual picnic. Thank you to Pat Fullmer for
getting the ball rolling on the 1st annual picnic.

1. The date is Saturday, July 23rd, from 12:00 noon until 8:00 PM. Pat
had previously surveyed people, and this was the preferred date. The
location will be at a 22.5 acre mountain retreat near Muncy
Valley.

2. John C. and John H. will provide hot dogs and hamburgers. Any other food  and drinks should be brought by participants. You could also bring a
"pot luck" main dish to share with other pot luckers if you wish. John
can cook chicken or any other food as long as it isn't moving.
Alcoholic beverages are OK. John will have enough grills or stoves to
cook everyone's food. Please bring your own paper products and utensils.

3. Many activities are available for energetic classmates including
horseshoes, badminton, basketball and hiking,. However, those with a
more sedentary orientation may just want to sit around and eat and
chat. John does have plenty of chairs, but you may wish to bring your
own if your posterior has accustomed itself to one chair in particular.
Tables will also be provided.

4. John's compound has a 24x24 foot pavilion and a 20x24 foot covered
porch. There is also a pond with benches.

5. WHAT JOHN AND JOHN NEED TO KNOW!! Please email me back ( John C) if
you are planning to attend, spouse or guest and approximately how many
hot dogs and hamburgers you will eat. This is not an eating contest! As
this is very informal and we don't have to give a headcount to anyone,
you don't need to respond if you aren't coming. Also, there is no need
for us to keep emailing if we don't hear from you, but please answer our
questions if and when you know you are coming. I will send this info.
out again several times in case people missed it. I realize your status
may be fluid. Please just keep me updated. Thank you.

6. Directions -- {{see Yahoo group or Facebook group for details}}.

7. John and John hope many of you can attend. If not, everyone will
talk about you with little regard to accuracy; and this will motivate
you to attend next year. We would also like to thank and congratulate
the Reunion Committee for the fine job everyone did in planning,
organizing and carrying out one fine reunion. Our goal for the annual
picnic is to continue to revive old friendships, maybe establish some
new ones and to just have FUN!!!! Hope you can attend. Keep well, and
as my childhood hero Davy Crockett said, "Be sure you are right, and
then go ahead."
